Aidan Beckingham - September's Recovery Spot Male Athlete Of The Month

Congratulations to Aidan Beckingham of Men's Soccer on being selected The Recovery Spot Male Athlete of the Month for September.

In his second season with the green and gold, the talented left back is coming into his own as a big contributor to his team on both ends of the pitch. Beckingham was a major factor in CMU's 2-1 away victory to the defending champion USB Rouges on September 17th, creating the first pass on many of the left-side attacks for CMU and also slotting into centerback in the second half to help lock down the win.

"Aidan is growing into a great leader for us on the backend," said head coach Russell Willms, "he is extremely composed on the ball and consistently makes big plays whether it being a well-timed tackle, a well-weighted first pass, a long pass to switch play or service across the face of goal."

Beckingham's accurate left-footed service was also on display in Brandon on September 18th, assisting on Ben Klassen's late goal against the Bobcats and the graduate of Oak Park Collegiate had strong showings in both matches last weekend as the Blazers faced the U18 Ontario Cup Champion Thunder Bay Chill on Saturday and Sunday.
