Men's Soccer Introduces Newest Addition To 2017 Squad

Men's Soccer is very pleased to announce the signing of Garden Valley Collegiate's Migabo Ntangano for the 2017 Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference season.

The native of Congo moved to Canada in 2014 and has made an immediate impact in rural high school soccer. Ntangano helped the Zodiacs to the 2015 MHSAA Rural Boys Championship Final in his Grade 11 season and led a return trip to the Rural Provincials for Garden Valley last October with a fourth-place finish.

"Migabo is another one of the quality players that has come out of rural high school soccer in Manitoba," says head coach Russell Willms, "he is a good technical player who has an awareness of how to be effective on the field. His fitness level is quite high and he will help us alot in the center of midfield next season. Another one of Migabo's strengths is his confidence with the ball at his feet; passing and finishing."

Ntangano scored 15 goals as an attacking midfielder for his high school team in the 2016 MHSAA season and intends to begin training with MMSL squad, Winkler Storm, this spring in preparation for his first season at CMU.

The midfielder is also gaining experience on the futsal court this winter in the Pembina Valley's, South Central Futsal League. The next action for CMU in Men's Futsal is March 3rd and 4th as the Blazers close out the 2017 Copa de la Paz Round Robin on home court against the Providence Pilots and USB Rouges.
