CMU Soccer Finds New Home

John Scouras Field at Winnipeg Soccer Complex

CMU Athletics is pleased to announce the John Scouras Field at the Winnipeg Soccer Complex as the new home of CMU Soccer beginning this fall.

Located near CMU’s Shaftesbury Campus on Waverley Street, the John Scouras Field has hosted many major soccer events from the MSA Cup Finals to the Canadian Men’s National Team. The complex is also the home of WSA Winnipeg, our city’s newest sports franchise, of the USL’s Premier Development League.

“This is a major step forward for our soccer programs,” added CMU Athletics Director, Russell Willms, “Not only will this help our teams to play an entertaining-brand of soccer, it puts CMU on the map for soccer players in the province. We are very happy to be playing our matches in an elite facility.”

An all-weather surface, the Winnipeg Soccer Complex offers seating for over 2500 spectators. CMU will kick-off their soccer season at the John Scouras Field, September 10th versus derby-rivals Providence College.
