CMU Adds Niverville All-Star

The CMU women’s basketball team is pleased to announce the commitment of Kathleen Klippenstein for the upcoming season. The 6’1 product of Niverville Collegiate was recently selected as a member of the Manitoba High School provincial AA all-star team as well as a first-team graduating all-star of the combined A-AAA high schools. “Kathleen is a strong athlete with an understanding and vision for the game,” explains CMU head coach Christie Anne McCullough. “She is very eager to be a part of our program and has a positive attitude towards learning and improving.”

At 6’1, Klippenstein will fill a void for the Blazers with the departure of graduating post Jaime Semchuk. “Kathleen does not only bring height to our inside game, but she is athletic and can score the basketball in many different ways,” adds McCullough. “I expect to see Kathleen contribute in many ways. but I am particularly looking forward to seeing her leadership skills develop.”

Klippenstein is a product of the Junior Bisons basketball program and plans to study towards a degree in Science.
