Undefeated Blazers Continue to Impress

The CMU women’s volleyball team kept things rolling on Wednesday night as they made short-work of Universite de St-Boniface 3-0 (25-6, 25-17, 25-11) on home court to move to 6-0 against MCAC competition this season.

Third-year middle Breanne Giesbrecht led the way offensively for the Blazers in the match, scoring 4 aces from the service line and collecting 5 kills over three sets.

“Breanne is so steady for us, and she possesses a great serve that USB really struggled to return tonight”, said satisfied coach Andrea Charbonneau-Harrison.

Second-year libero Lindsay Braul was the defensive leader for her team, getting 11 digs. Taylor Bain, Kelsey Dick and Kristen Coleman all posted 4 kills in the match.

Respite is in short supply for the Blazers, who travel to Providence tonight to serve-off with the second-place Freemen in Otterburne. Match time is scheduled for 6 PM with men’s action to follow at 8 PM.
