Linden’s Curtis Will Spread Wings With CMU

The CMU women’s basketball team is very pleased to announce the commitment of Linden Christian guard Samantha Curtis for the upcoming season.

Curtis and the Linden Wings finished second earlier this year in the Manitoba High School “AAA” girls provincials held in Thompson, Manitoba. Curtis is an excellent ball-handler and has the ability to dribble and penetrate from the perimeter. She has also worked hard to develop consistency in her jump shot, which she is eager to test at the college-level. At 5’9, Curtis will pose a difficult match-up for opposing teams offensively and defensively in either the guard or point guard position.

While at Linden, Curtis was selected at tournament all-star at St. James Collegiate “AAA” Tournament and is a product of the Junior Bisons basketball club program.

Curtis and the Blazers will open their home exhibition season in October when CMU hosts the 3rd annual Holiday Inn Airport-West Invitational against the Briercrest Clippers.
