CMU Women’s Volleyball Welcomes Regier

The CMU women’s volleyball team are very pleased to announce the commitment of Waldheim, Saskatchewan’s Shauna Regier for the upcoming season. The 5’10 outside hitter was a member of  the Briercrest Clippers for the past two seasons of the Alberta Collegiate Athletic Conference (ACAC).

Regier played with the u-16 Saskatchewan Provincial Team in her grade 11 year and helped Rosthern Junior College to a ‘AAA’ Provincial Silver Medal. In her grade 12 year, Regier returned to finish high school in Waldheim, co-captaining the Raiders to a second ‘AAA’ Provincial Silver Medal and playing with the Huskies United Volleyball Club in Saskatoon.

“Shauna provides us with a great work ethic and valuable experience,” says CMU head coach Andrea Charbonneau-Harrison, “we are excited that she has chosen to come to CMU this year and I am looking forward to coaching her and having her here with us.”

Regier is also a promising young volleyball coach. This summer she is entering her 8th year coaching volleyball sports camps at Bethany College and she also coached last summer with Briercrest Clipper camps.

The Blazers will serve-off their preseason on home court against the Red River Rebels on September 28th as a feature of CMU’s Fall Festival events. The match will also be part of a tournament organized by Providence University College with the remaining matches of the weekend taking place in Otterburne on September 29th.
