Blazers Boost Roster With Sturgeon Guard
The CMU men’s basketball is happy to announce the commitment of Sturgeon Heights’ Vince Munoz for the upcoming MCAC season. The 5’9 ultra-quick guard averaged 13 points and 5 assists per game in his grade 12 season to help the Huskies to a sixth-place finish in the MHSAA ‘AAAA’ Provincials last March. Munoz also received recognition as a 2012 Graduating All-Star.
“We are very happy to have Vince as a part of our team,” shared head coach Darcy Coss, “his ability to breakdown defenses off the dribble will be a huge asset to our team. Vince will be a really tough match-up for our opponents.”
You can catch Munoz and the Blazers on home court this season, beginning on October 11th when they host the third-annual Holiday Inn Airport West Invitational. CMU will tip-off against Briercrest College and Medicine Hat College in the nine-team tournament.
