Steinbach Defender Bolsters CMU Back-Line

ben 009The CMU men’s soccer team is pleased to announce the commitment of Hanover and Steinbach Regional defender Josh Robson for the upcoming season.

Robson has been a standout youth player for Hanover, playing with both the u-17 boys Hanover Lions and the Hanover Strikers of the MMSL’s Major League fourth-division. “Josh has all the tools that make for a great central-defender,” says CMU head coach Russell Willms, “He is quick, he is confident and patient on the ball, he has excellent timing in challenges and he is as brave as they come.”

Robson and fellow first-year Ben Wride will be traveling together to Ecuador this summer with the Manitoba to Ecuador Project working with youth players at Los Canarios Soccer Club in Puerto Lopez; a journey that CMU’s Jonah Langelotz and Jordon Zimmerly made with Robson last summer.
