Blazers Trio Lead All-Conference Charge

0T8A5512-XLThe Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference honoured three members of the CMU men’s soccer team with selections to the 2013 All-Conference Team last weekend. Jonah Langelotz, Andrew Letkeman (left) and Cole Johnson joined Providence’s Troy Lydiate and Adrian Neufeld, Red River’s Amarjeet Johal, Lloyd Hildebrand and Kris Walchuk, and St-Boniface’s Nabil Ibnou Zahir, Harouna Gueye and Cheikh Amadou Sonko on the 11-man team. 2013 Golden Boot winner, Arvid Neufeld of Providence, who scored 13 regular season goals, received the Most Valuable Player Award.

All-Conference recognition was also awarded to both Langelotz and Johnson at the conclusion of the 2012 season. Letkemen found his place on the team for the first time, after missing the first three conference matches due to injury. The former MHSAA Rural Provincial MVP made an immediate impact on his return to the lineup this season, scoring four goals in a 7-2 win at University of St-Boniface in mid-September.
