Four Blazers Voted to All-Conference

0T8A1072-XLOn Saturday the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference recognized four members of the CMU women’s soccer team with All-Conference Awards. Fourth-year midfielder Deanna Zantingh and second-year defender Breanna Heinrichs led the veteran charge, while rookies Jillian Beever and Kyra Neufeld (left) represented the first-years.

MCAC Most Valuable Player honours went to Providence rookie and 2013 Golden Boot winner, Julika Kehler. The Steinbach product’s 10 goals led all scorers and powered the Pilots to an undefeated regular season. In all, 11 players were recognized to the All-Conference Team: Leah Single, Rae-Lyn Dyck and Katrina Clark from Red River, Elena Rempel, Jessica Gzebb and Kehler from Providence, and Ashey Scott from Assiniboine joined the four Blazers.
