Prowse Steals Home Win From Pilots

Third-year guard Hannah Prowse (right) registered 12 points to go with 12 steals, leading her Women’s Basketball Team to a 54-50 win on Saturday night in Otterburne over the Providence Pilots to move the Blazers to 2-1 on in the MCAC Women’s Basketball Standings.
The home team led by as many as 6 points including leads at the half and at the end of three quarters, only to see the Blazers outscore them 22-16 in the fourth to capture the win. Crystal Harms shot 10-16 from the field for the Pilots for a game-high 20 points to go with 18 rebounds. Fresh off a return from a wrist-injury, Hollie Sutherland dropped 16 points for CMU, shooting 2 of 7 from 3-point range to lead her team in scoring.
The Blazers will be in action this weekend on Friday at Red River College in a game that will be webcast live from Notre Dame Campus (Check the CMU Blazers Twitter and Facebook Pages later this week for a link to the broadcast). The two teams met in late October in a evenly-matched game that ended 64-52 from the defending MCAC Women’s Basketball Champion Rebels. The team is on the road again on Saturday night, back at Providence for their final game before the Christmas Break.
