Blazers Basketball Online Friday Night

1383941_702359896460784_348898823_nThe CMU men’s and women’s basketball teams will be featured live streaming on Friday night when the Blazers tip-off at Red River College in their final weekend of MCAC play before the holiday break. The famous Route 90 Showdown has become a showcase of the MCAC’s talent in men’s and women’s basketball and is certain to provide viewers with a possible preview of the 2014 MCAC Championships that will be hosted at Providence University College next March.

The Blazer women will meet the Rebels for the second time in conference action on Friday night. The two rivals met October 26th when Red River handed CMU their first loss of the season 64-52. Hannah Prowse (pictured) dropped 17-points that night and believes that her team can grab a win if they bring a good defensive effort.

“We played hard defence last weekend in our game against Providence and we need to translate it to Friday’s game against Red River right from the tip-off,” the third-year guard explains, “We can’t play catch-up and we don’t want them to get a chance to get any runs on us.”

Kathleen McCullough has also fully recovered from an injury that left her unavailable for the first meeting of the season and the fourth-year post will certainly provide a few extra possessions for the Blazers with her strong commitment to rebounding on both the offensive and defensive boards.

You can catch the Blazers and Rebels live online Friday night at 6 pm, followed by the men’s game at 8 pm. http://blogs.rrc.ca/rebels/live/
