Little Caesars Athletes of the Month – November

1391656_702359726460801_1942753488_nIMG_7977Congratulations to Hannah Prowse of the Women’s Basketball Team and Joel Kliewer of the Men’s Volleyball Team on being selected the Little Caesars Athletes of the Month for November.

Prowse currently sits fifth in the conference in scoring, averaging 12.3 points per game and led CMU to wins versus Providence, St-Boniface, Dakota College-Bottineau Alumni, and Red Lake Community College this month. The third-year graduate of Linden Christian has shown her tenacity on both ends of the court, averaging 4.5 steals per game and getting herself to the free throw an average of four times, putting her in the top 3 in the conference in both categories. Last weekend, Prowse helped the Blazers steal a win in Otterburne, ending with 12 steals and a firm grasp on second-place in the conference with a 59-58 victory.

0T8A6910-XLIMG_7002Kliewer has made a big impact as a rookie in the MCAC. The 6’4″ graduate of Westgate Mennonite Collegiate led the Blazers to wins against St-Boniface, ACC and Providence this month and capped the calendar with a Western Canadian Championship appearance and silver medal in Saskatoon last weekend.

Kliewer had two noteworthy performances: On November 6th, he tallied 19 kills in a five-set win over Providence and in round-robin play from Westerns, Kliewer powered in 10 aces from the service line in a memorable run versus Prairie ending in a 25-10 set win.manager-little-caesars-pizza_5170467
