Sturgeon Heights Post Leads 2014 Recruits

The CMU Men's Basketball team is very pleased to announce the commitment of Sturgeon Heights post Will Switzer for the 2014-15 season. The 6'4" big-man is averaging 10-plus points and 15-plus rebounds in his graduating year with the Huskies and helped his high school to a 2013 'AAAA' Final Four berth after entering as the #8 ranked team in his grade 11 season.

"Will is a hard working player, who can be an anchoring force in the middle of both a defense and an offense," says coach Isaac who first became familiar with Switzer when coaching at the 2012 Manitoba Games.

Switzer has represented Manitoba at the u-16 provincial level in 2012 as well as in the Western Canadian Cadet Championship in Edmonton.

The Men's Basketball team is preparing this week for a final four date with the University of Winnipeg College Wesmen at the 2014 MCAC Basketball Championships happening next weekend at Providence University College in Otterburne, Manitoba. They will be playing a tune-up for the Championship tomorrow night when they host an exhibition game against the University of St-Boniface at 8pm.
