Women's Volleyball Confirms Addition of Linden Christian Outside Hitter

The CMU Women's Volleyball Team is pleased to announce the addition of Linden Christian Outside Hitter Kalynn Dornn for the upcoming MCAC season. Dornn played a part in two MHSAA 'AAA' Girls Provincial Volleyball Championships that the Wings won in 2012 and 2013.

The 5'8 attacker was a genuine multi-sport threat during her high school athletics career, competing in golf, track & field, soccer and badminton for the Wings. She was also part of Linden's 'AAA' Girls Provincial Basketball Championship team in 2013 and helped make history with the Wings in her Grade 12 year, when Linden jumped to 'AAAA' and advanced all the way to the 2014 MHSAA Provincial Girls Final Fours last March.

The well-rounded athlete also excels in the classroom and in the community. The honours student was selected from her graduating class to receive Linden Christian's Community Service Award, for her efforts with LCS kindergarten, and for giving time to a local day-camps as well as tutoring.

"We are glad to have Kalynn joining the CMU program," said Head Coach Eku Malcolm, "She is a very capable and versatile player who will help us on the court and embodies the leadership qualities that will make her a great teammate and student."

Dornn and the Blazers serve off their preseason October 3-4 when they travel south to Otterburne to compete in the MCAC Women's Preseason Tournament at Providence College, followed by the Wannamaker Invitational in Oakville, Ontario, October 17-18.
