Treherne Collegiate Setter To Join Women's Volleyball Program

The CMU Women's Volleyball team is very happy to announce the commitment of Treherne Collegiate's Kali Mann for the 2015-16 season. Mann helped her high school to the 2015 MHSAA Zone 6 Finals last November, where she was selected a zone all-star and onto the regional playoffs.

"Kali is an important addition to our 2015-16 team," said head coach Eku Malcolm, "she will provide us with solid depth at the critical setting position."

The 5'8 setter comes from the same high school as former Team Canada Women's Captain and 2011 Manitoba High School Hall of Fame inductee, Tammy Mahon.

"Kali provides us with a great combination of skill and volleyball IQ to the way she is capable of running an offense," added Malcolm.

Untll the 16 & under level Mann played with Fury Volleyball Club, helping the local squad to fourth place infinish at 16u Nationals. In 2014, Mann moved onto Alliance Volleyball Club where her team fniished fifth in Tier 2 17u Nationals.

Mann and her teammates will be on the CMU court this weekend as Winman Volleyball Club hosts the Serve Into Spring Girls 17-18u tournament begining on Friday night. The Championship will take place on Sunday afternoon at 4 pm.
