Linden Setter To Spread Wings With CMU Men's Volleyball Program

The CMU Men's Volleyball Team is very pleased to announce the commitment of Linden Christian's Jacob Janzen for the 2015-16 season. The 6'1 setter helped his Junior Bisons club team to a second place finish at the 2015 Provincial Championships and recently competed at the 18-and-under Boys National Championships in Calgary.

"Jacob is a very intelligent setter who runs an excellent offense capable of getting good isolation," said head coach Don Dulder.

Janzen was selected Most Valuable Player of the Varsity Boys Volleyball Team at Linden Christian in his Grade 11 season and shone again for the Wings in his Grade 12 season, leading his team to the 2015 MHSAA 'AAA' Provincials Finals last November.

Janzen was also a member of Team Manitoba 16u boys where he featured mostly in the backrow: versatility that definitely provides Dulder with depth and options.

"Jacob is an excellent young leader, a quality person and he is very much a team player," Dulder added, "he provides us with excellent depth and it is a pleasure to have him joining our group."

Janzen also excelled on the ice for the Linden Christian Varsity Boys hockey team where he was selected as a recipient of the WHSHL's Travis Price Award for Excellence in Leadership and Academic Performance.
