The Pita Pit Female Blazer Athlete Of The Month - November

Congratulations to Jessica Larabie of Women's Basketball on being selected The Pita Pit Female Athlete of the Month for November. Capping the first half of the season last night, with their sixth consecutive conference win, Larabie is helping the Blazers to their best ever start. Larabie has quietly gone about filling the stat sheet this month in many categories that have helped CMU to their undefeated record and first-place in MCAC.

"Jess has worked extremely hard on her game and has become a very dangerous offensive threat for us," said head coach Joe Di Curzio, "she is a terrific defensive player who likes to shut down the top offensive players from the teams we face."

Larabie stands tenth in scoring in the conference, averaging 9.6 points per game before last night. The Garden City Collegiate graduate scored 16 points with 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 6 steals to lead CMU to a home court win over the College Wesmen on November 14th and had an equally large 12 point, 3 rebound and 4 steal performance in CMU's win over the Providence Pilots on November 7th.

For now, Women's Basketball will enjoy the holiday and exam break and pick things up in the new year when they travel to Thief River Falls for the Pioneer Invitational in Thief River Falls against the Leech Lake Lakers and Northland Pioneers January 2nd and 3rd.
