6'7 Dauphin Sensation Signs Letter Of Intent With Men's Basketball

It will be hard to miss Josh Marshall when he steps onto the Loewen hardcourt next season. The towering 6'7 product of Dauphin Regional recently made his commitment to join the Blazers for 2017-18 and is a player who will be a tough matchup for MCAC and NIAC opponents.

"Josh will bring a very dynamic offensive game to the court for us," said head coach Billy Isaac, who is entering his fifth season with the Blazers, "He handles the ball really well for a big man and as a result he creates a tremendous amount of offensive opportunities for himself."

Marshall led the Clippers to the 2017 Manitoba High School 'AAA' Zone 8 Championship in his Grade 12 season, averaging 17-plus points and helped the cause defensively with 13 rebounds and 6 blocked shot per game. His performance was noticed by Basketball Manitoba and the MHSAA, as Marshall was recognized as a 2017 'A-AAA' Graduating All-Star.

Marshall was also selected to represent Manitoba's Parkland Region at the 2016 Provincial Summer Games where he and his teammates returned home from Steinbach with bronze medals.

The Men's Basketball schedule was recently made public and Marshall and his teammates will open their 2017-18 preseason in Caronport, Saskatchewan, September 22nd and 23rd against the Briercrest Clippers. They then return home to tip-off with the Alberta Collegiate Athletic Conference's Ambrose Clippers, September 29th and 30th.
