Carter Hofer: November's Lionheart Sports Male Athlete Of The Month

Congratulations to Carter Hofer of Men's Volleyball on being selected CMU's Lionheart Sports Male Athlete of the Month for November. The sophomore left-side led the Blazers in scoring this month, helping his team to five weeks of undefeated volleyball that has CMU in first-place in the MCAC standings with a perfect record of 8-0.

Hofer sits fifth in the conference in total kills with 79 and his 36.8 attack percentage ranks the Winman Volleyball-product second overall in the MCAC. "I have so much good to say about Carter," said Men's Volleyball Head Coach Don Dulder. "Carter has made huge improvements from last season. His passing has improved, his total number of attacks is way up. He is feeling really good and he is playing really hard. This month, Carter has stepped up big time and is becoming a quiet leader for us on the court."

Over eight matches, Hofer has led his team in kills on four occasions, with his highest single-match total of 18 coming on November 16th versus the ACC Cougars. On a very balanced offensive team, the former Linden Christian Wing is now fourth on the Blazers in digs with 27 and fifth from the service line with 9 aces.

The next action for Men's Volleyball comes in the New Year in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The Blazers travel to Toronto on January 3rd for tournament action January 4th and 5th where CMU are pooled with the OCAA's Durham Lords, Niagara Knights and the national-ranked Redeemer Royals. The next home action for Men's Volleyball is January 12th when the Blazers host the Providence Pilots.
