Victor Hugo, Kisabo Earn MCAC Men's Soccer All-Conference Selection

The Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference kicked of festivities in their annual Men's Soccer Final Fours on Friday with the announcement of the league's best-11; the 2019 Men's Soccer All-Conference Team. Among those recognized for their outstanding play this season were CMU third-year Victor Hugo and Joel Kisabo.

Victor Hugo was a dynamo in the midfield in 2019, standing out for his high work-rate, smooth dribbling skills and creativity in CMU attack. The Blazers were among the highest goal scoring teams, tallying 37 goals through 10 league matches. Though only scoring once in the 2019 season, the Brazilian made his mark on the offense as thet set-up man, totaling 7 assists.

As a striker, Kisabo's goal numbers were strengthened by the service he received from Victor Hugo. The rookie topped his team with 7 goals to land him in fourth place among fellow front-men for the lead in the conference. Most Valuable Player, Derek Mains led the way for USB with 9 goals scored. A former Kildonan East and Phoenix Soccer Club player, Kisabo impressed the MCAC coaches with his awareness of space, ability to run off the ball and of course, his knack for finishing chances like any great forward is required to do.
